Hi, I’m Jazzley Roque da Silva, born and raised in Rotterdam. From a young age, I’ve always had a passion for creativity. While primary school lessons didn’t capture my attention, I found joy in doodling and drawing in my books during class. That’s when I realized I wanted to pursue a career in the creative field. In 2016, I took the first step by studying Graphic Design at Grafisch Lyceum Rotterdam, where I earned my degree in 2019. Graphic design offers many possibilities, but my heart lies in illustration and animation. In these areas, I feel most inspired and excited to create.

Over time, my creative interests began to expand beyond design. Recently, I’ve been deeply drawn to photography and videography. It started in 2021, during my first solo trip to my father’s homeland, Cabo Verde. I brought along an analog camera with a 35mm lens and began capturing the beauty of the islands. Since then, I’ve continued exploring the world of analog formats and now work with 35mm, 120mm, Super 8 film, and alongside my digital camera.
